Aoun demands detailed reports and claims readiness to cooperate with other parties
The Head of the Change and Reform Bloc MP Michel Aoun demanded a detailed official report on the daily occurrences taking place on the Syrian-Lebanese borders. This according to Aoun will help in determining the appropriate measures to be taken in light of escalating violence.

Aoun asked after the weekly meeting of the bloc on Tuesday, whether or not authority is present on those borders, as to aid in preventing "opportunist shoot outs".

“We are ready to take all measures to protect our country” added Aoun.

In relation to the communications data file, Aoun accused the Intelligence Bureau of trading obtained data. He went on to ask about the crimes that the Bureau revealed since 2005 adding, “Let them stop the transmission of data or else face an impeding problem in the country”.

On the electoral law, Aoun declared his willingness to support the 15 electoral districts scheme claiming readiness to cooperate with the "other party" in order to fight corruption.

As for the coming meeting between Saad el-Hariri and MP Walid Jumblatt, Aoun said: “God bless reconciliation”.

Aoun added concerning his previous visit to Brad, Aleppo: “I went to pray before the tomb of St.Maroun but I ask, on which tomb did the Lebanese Forces Chief, Samir Geagea, pray upon? Was it in KSA, Qatar or the UAE?” he asked.

On the LF Chief, he continued: “when you want to make a statement about us, don’t frame us based on history".

Aoun asked to wait for the investigation in the case of Former Minister Michel Samaha adding that they also, as a bloc, want the truth. "Should he be found guilty, let him bear the heaviest of penalties" Aoun stated.

Aoun finally explained that the released detainee Yaacoub Chamoun is a Syriac Syrian who fought along the lines of the Kataeb forces and performed a training course in Israel.
