Lebanese are still agonizing over the chaos and the drug delivery delay at the Karantina public drug-dispensing center.

During a press conference he held following his inspection of the Karantina center, Health Minister Ali Hasan Khalil said that a series of measures is underway to settle the raft of problems besieging the center, dedicated to the distribution of chronic diseases medication. Hasan Khalil said that, as part of these measures, the center would employ additional staff to meet the growing needs of the center and patients, adding that 73 types of medication would be soon available there.

Hasan Khalil highlighted the tight measures and procedures put in place to end the fraud in medicine and drugs, adding that the cabinet has already approved to increase the center’s employees ‘number in order to improve the service and facilitate the drugs delivery.
