PM Mikati declares September 15 as public holiday on the occasion of the Pope's visit
Prime Minister Najib Mikati, issued a memorandum on Friday declaring September 15 as a public holiday due to Pope Benedict the XVI’s visit to the country.         
All public administrations, institutions, municipalities, schools, public and private universities on Saturday 09.15.2012 will be closed.                     

Various sectors are called to participate in the reception of his Holiness.

The Pope is expected to arrive on Friday the 14th of September and is scheduled to leave on Sunday the 16th.
