Makhzoumi after meeting Aoun: Economic situation unbearable, confidence in banks lost
President Michel Aoun met on Monday with MP Fouad Makhzoumi at the Baabda presidential Palace.
Following the meeting, Makhzoumi said that the Lebanese people are looking forward for stability and the formation of a technocrat Cabinet that meets their demands and their lost rights.
He also called for the swift formation of a “transitional rescue government” which main mission is to stop the financial and economic collapse.
On another note, Makhzoumi called the Parliament to ratify a law that protects the small depositors who form 86% of depositors in Lebanese banks.
“Lebanon’s economic situation has become unbearable and confidence in banks is lost,” he added.
