Lebanon beats Iran 1-0 ahead of World Cup

The Lebanese national football team beat Iran 1-0 in a Brazil's World Cup qualifier at Beirut Sports City Tuesday.

The goal was scored by Roda Antar during the game's first half.

Lebanon hence moved on to four points from four games in Group B, while Iran remains on four points having played one game fewer than their opponents.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Faisal Karami, and Iranian envoy to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi, attended the match, along with a panel of political, official, and sports figures.
