Aoun: Brig. Gen Wissam al-Hassan is a Martyr of Lebanon

Head of Change and Reform Bloc MP Michel Aoun said on Sunday that the assassination of a martyr in the ISF must not be used negatively by political parties.
“Brig. Gen Wissam al-Hassan and those who fell alongside him are Martyrs of Lebanon; we honor them,” he added.

Aoun said in a press conference that it is the government’s responsibility to address the damage "because citizens are not to be left homeless."

He also asked the High Relief Commission to take immediate measures.

“Violence leads to deviation in the public opinion and prevents unity,” Aoun added.

Aoun asked all the Lebanese not to turn Sunday’s occasion into riots and assaults since "it leads to negative repercussions."
