President al-Assad, Karami Review Events in Syria and Bids of Targeting its Security

President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday met with Lebanese Ex-Premier, Omar Karami and his son Youth and Sports Minister Faisal Karami.

The meeting focused on the events in Syria and the attempts of targeting its security and stability.

The situation in Lebanon was also discussed during the meeting. Karami expressed confidence in the ability of the Syrian people and leadership to overcome the current circumstances, calling for vigilance over the attempts of fragmenting the region, sowing sedition in and over the dangerous effects of such attempts on the Middle East as a whole.
