REPORT: Unidentified assailants set fire to several cars in Choueifat

Unidentified persons set 3 Toyota cars on fire in addition to a Toyota SUV 4x4 and an Oldsmobile outside a residential building in Choueifat.

Residents awoke Thursday morning to the sight of flames blazing through 3 cars, and expressed fear that the fire may spread to their homes, witnesses said. Criminal investigators and security forces rushed to the scene and launched investigations.

The reasons behind the incident remain undisclosed but preliminary investigations indicate that the perpetrator set fire to the Toyota SUV with flames extending to the two other cars parked by its side.
