Head of Sidon municipality: Spots of black tar detected on northern Sidon beach

Head of Sidon municipality Mohamad al-Saudi announced on Saturday that separate spots black tar were detected on the northern Sidon beach as a result of an oil spill last month.

This as al-Saudi called on citizens not to go to the beach, stressing that the concerned teams will be instructed to conduct a survey and determine the damages, and work to remove the environmental pollution from the sandy beach in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and the concerned associations.
