Archbishop Mamberti: The situation in Lebanon is made by the Lebanese themselves

The Holy See's Secretary for Relations with States Archbishop Dominique Mamberti said that the situation in Lebanon is the product of the Lebanese themselves who are able to control its direction.

During a meeting with Minister of Interior and Municipalities Marwan Charbel in Rome at the Interpol Ministerial meeting, Mamberti said that the only way to find a solution for the situation in Syria is the adoption of a diplomatic solution and negotiations between the conflicting parties to end the cycle of violence.
The Archbishop relayed the willingness of EU circles and the Vatican to contribute to reaching a compromised formula to end the conflict.
