Abou Faour: Division and quarrel will lead to Lebanon’s demise

Social Affairs Minister Wael Abou Faour said that the electoral law should be based on the principles of reforms and understanding.

“While introducing proportional representation to the electoral law and lowering the voting age to 18 years are two necessary reforms, the issue of the voting of Lebanese nationals living abroad should not be left out”, Abou Faour said.

Abou Faour underscored the importance of peaceful coexistence amongst the Lebanese, adding that agreement and understanding are in Lebanon’s best interest.

“We have two choices, either we live by mutual understanding or we walk the path of division and quarrel which will only lead to Lebanon’s demise”, Abou Faour said.
