REPORT: Wood replaces usual combustibles in Lebanese towns

Winter arrives to Lebanon accompanied by cold winds, rains and snowfalls.

With oil prices rising, the mountains residents are left with only one choice: cutting trees and using the wood as a combustible.

It seems that the winter is also accompanied by a dilemma. The citizens cannot afford the oil prices but the Lebanese environment cannot afford losing more trees.
