Geagea to Aoun: You bear full responsibility for what may befall on the country

Lebanese Forces Party Chief, Samir Geagea addressed a letter to the President of the Republic General Michel Aoun about the Iranian ship that will arrive today in Lebanon loaded with diesel, stating: “For the past weeks, private companies and some of the private sector have been trying to obtain from the Minister of Energy, your minister, permissions to import gasoline and diesel and supply the market at their actual prices, after the state was unable to secure them through subsidies, but the Energy Minister did not respond, which led to the tragedy we have been experiencing daily in recent months…”

He added: “However, to our surprise, Hezbollah declares in its statements, if truthful, that it will bring a diesel ship and most likely empty it at the Zahrani plant… So, Mr. President, will you allow the party that has seized the strategic, military and security decision, to confiscate today the economic decision, jeopardizing the Lebanese and their interests, permanently failing the private sector, and depriving the Lebanese all means of decent and acceptable living?”
