Truck drivers stage sit-in at Beirut Port, demand wage hike
Truck drivers at Beirut Port on Tuesday carried out a sit-in, during which they closed the main entrance of the port with their trucks. They’ve declared a strike since 6:00 am, demanding an increase of their wages, which no longer cover the minimum requirements of their daily lives expenses.

The protesters stressed that they would no longer unload or transport goods at the port, including those in refrigerators," warning of escalating steps if their demands are not met.
