Kazzi to LBCI: The Kataeb are seeking ways to end political crisis

Kataeb Vice Chief Sejaan Kazzi stressed on Wednesday in an interview with Nkarkom Said on LBCI that the party is seeking consultations with local and foreign leads in hopes of bringing forth an apt solution to the current political crisis facing the country; mainly the non-resignation of the current government “although there is consensus on the need for a governmental change.”

In a phone interview, Kazzi stated that the Kataeb’s initiative comes in 3 dimensions; one of support with Lebanese President Michel Sleiman, solidarity with March14 allies and safeguarding national unity. He confirmed that they are on the same wavelength as Deputy Walid Jumblatt.

Kazzi saw that supporting President Sleiman in his efforts to instigate governmental change in a calm and safe manner is the “right way” seemingly since Sleiman’s approach has met Arab and international support.
