Interior Minister Mawlawi receives phone call from his Bahraini counterpart

Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi received a phone call on Wednesday from his Bahraini counterpart Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah al-Khalifa, whereby he confirmed “his keenness to ensure the security and stability of Bahrain,” as well as his “total rejection of Lebanon being a platform for spreading hatred towards any Arab country, especially the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.”

Their discussion revolved round the joint security files, with regard to the press conference held in Beirut last Saturday by al-Wefaq.

Mawlawi also presented all the steps taken by Interior Ministry through its security services, in terms of collecting information about people who are members of institutions or associations opposed to the brotherly Arab countries.

The two parties then agreed to continue security cooperation and exchange of information regarding security of both countries.
