Rai: What we have reached today is tragic, shameful and degrading

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Rai stressed on Tuesday that he is still working hard to push the parties to resume cabinet sessions, saying that “he constantly warned that delay and postponing will paralyze the country and impair its institutions.”

“What we have reached today is tragic, shameful and degrading,” Rai stated.

Moreover, Head of the Maronite General Council former Minister Wadih al-Khazen has quoted Rai after the meeting, and said that he informed him that there is no way to activate the state’s facilities and the economy unless the parliamentary elections are held.
