Mikati: The Lebanese people are looking forward to the government achieving what they want
Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed on Tuesday that “the country is facing several challenges, and the role of the cabinet is to achieve the rescue goals for which it was formed, and this basic task remains more important than the useless debates,” indicating that “the Lebanese people are looking forward to the government achieving what they want, regarding reforms and services, and they reject any differences that may occur.”
 
Mikati then mentioned that what matters is that they all work together in true partnership at all levels, in accordance with the constitution in letter and spirit.
 
During cabinet session, Mikati pointed out that “the budget for the year 2022, which was referred to the House of Representatives, was studied in detail in more than eight sessions," adding that it is currently the best possible budget in order to secure the state's public financial order, and that there are numbers and facts that cannot be ignored.
