Families of those missing in Talkalakh criticize the handling of their case

                    
The families of the Lebanese who died or went missing in the wake of the Talkalakh ambush staged a protest in front of the Rashid Karami Cultural Center after they had been denied entry, according to their spokesman Mohammad Ibrahim.               

Ibrahim criticized the government’s performance in regards to their case saying: “How is the Prime Minister mediating with the Red Cross and can the government accept that the bodies be delivered over batches?”                       

On the 30th of November 2012, reports emerged saying that a number of Lebanese nationals died in a Syrian ambush in the bordering town of Talkalakh.                   
At least 14 Lebanese and Palestinian gunmen from north Lebanon were reportedly killed, with three wounded and detained in the ambush. Syrian state television aired a graphic video of the dead men, riddled with gunshot wounds and lying in the grass.                

Families of the dead and missing have been protesting in Tripoli, demanding that the Lebanese government return the bodies and determine the whereabouts of those missing.
