Attempt to flee country by sea thwarted in Arida

A Lebanese army force stopped on Saturday a boat in Lebanese territorial waters at the “Arida” point, with twenty Syrian nationals on board, including children and women, as they attempted to flee the country illegally.

During this operation, four of them jumped into the sea trying to escape but they were soon arrested.

Eventually, the arrestees were handed over to the concerned authorities and investigations were launched.
