Head of Tourist Festivals Department in the Tourism Ministry Rabih Chaddad explained on Monday that the Minister’s campaign, which was accompanied by a campaign to replace pictures of political figures and slogans on billboards with pictures of Lebanon’s beauty, aims to shed light on modern tourism concepts.
Chaddad’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show on LBCI, in which he emphasized that tourist festivals are not just for entertainment, but also are a cultural component that showcases the Lebanese people's customs, traditions, and heritage.
He went on to say that festivals benefit the local community the most, as they provide an opportunity to promote its products and services.
