Kataeb, Hamas meet over bilateral ties
                  
Kataeb Party Leader Amine Gemayel, met  on Thursday at the Saifi House with the representative of Hamas Movement in Lebanon, Ali Baraka who presided a delegation to discuss Lebanese-Palestinian bilateral ties.              

"Our visit to the Kataeb party today comes within the context of Hamas' openness to the components of the Lebanese society and of building balanced relations with the different forces and parties," Baraka told reporters following the meeting.               

He said the meeting featured high on the situation of Palestinians in Lebanon, reiterating keenness on holding onto the right to return and on spurning naturalization.           

"We also confirmed our keenness on Lebanon's unity, security, and stability," he added, stressing that Hamas will not accept to take a part in any Lebanese internal conflict.                

Baraka also said that talks touched on the issue of Palestinians displaced from Syria into Lebanon.           

"We clarified that this is a humanitarian cause which we refuse to politicize," he maintained.
