Wanted people arrested in Hermel, drug manufacture laboratory found

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation declared on Thursday that within the framework of fighting against organized crime and the pursuit of wanted people, a unit form the LAF raided on Thursday morning a number of towns in the Hermel region, and was able to arrest two wanted persons.

The LAF also seized a fully equipped laboratory for the manufacture of drugs, as well as large quantities of military light and medium-sized arms and munitions. During the operation, armed men opened fire at LAF soldiers and escaped towards the mountainous regions. LAF units are still chasing the shooters in order to arrest them.

The detainees and the seized materials were delivered to the concerned authorities to launch investigations in this regard.
