Wahhab: Iran remains keen on Syria and its people

The Arab Tawhid Party leader former Minister Wiam Wahhab held a meeting with the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ghazanfar Ronkabadi on Thursday in the presence of Iranian political adviser Mohammed Javed and Yasser Al-Safadi, Wahhab’s adviser.

Roknabadi stressed that violence in Syria has reached an impasse and efforts should be exerted by all parties and foreign powers for a political solution in the country.

For his part, Wahhab said that the Iranian initiative comes in line with Syrian president Bachar Assad’s proposal in terms of support for the Syrian people and the resistance in both Lebanon and Palestine.

Wahhab pointed out that a cease-fire is required on the part of armed terrorist groups.
