Confederation of Land Transport and Taxi postpones its strike

Following a meeting with Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Speaker Nabih Barri, Head of the Confederation of Land Transport and Taxi drivers Abdel-Amir Najda announced that the strike which was expected to be held tomorrow was postponed.            

In the meeting, the officials agreed on the formation of a committee headed by Interior Minister Marwan Charbel and decided to defer the decisions pertaining to the traffic law and the articles which the confederation did not agree upon.               

Also during their meeting, officials agreed on setting the price of gasoline for taxi vehicles and controlling private cars that are working in the public transportation field.
