Pope Leo XIV tells President Aoun: I pray for Lebanon’s security and will continue working for peace

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun expressed deep appreciation for Pope Leo XIV’s commitment to Lebanon, telling the pontiff: “We look forward to your visit to Lebanon and highly value your declaration to do everything necessary for peace in our country.”

In response, Pope Leo XIV reaffirmed his solidarity with the Lebanese people, stating: “I always pray for Lebanon’s security, stability, and the happiness of its people, and I will continue working for peace in Lebanon and the region.”
