Assir announces the formation of 'Free Resistance Brigades'

Imam of Bilal bin Rabah mosque Sheikh Ahmad Assir announced on Monday the formation of 'Free Resistance Brigades' in Sidon, calling for helping the persons who fall victim to the attacks targeting Homs, the town of al-Qussair, and mainly the residents of the towns on the northern border.

In this context, Assir called on everyone who feels the threat of Hezbollah to form a 5-member cell in order to defend himself.

Assir began his protest against Hezbollah’s “extra-state" arms on June 28 and has repeatedly stressed that he won’t end the sit-in until his demands are met.
