Minister Hassan Khalil demands the transfer of expired medicine to Beirut

Caretaker Minister of Heath Ali Hassan Khalil referred the case of the expired medication found in Deir al-Ahmar to the General Prosecutor Judge Hatem Madi on Thursday.

This came after a pharmaceutical inspection unit in the region of the Bekaa inspected the expired medicine found in the region of Deir al-Ahmar and linked it to Imad Imad.

Caretaker Minister Khalil ordered the transfer of the confiscated medicine to Beirut to later be examined in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment.

The Ministry of Health said on Wednesday that the medicine warehouse in Deir el Ahmar, where the expired drugs had been found, belongs to Imad Boutros Imad who failed to show a license which allows him to run such a business.
