Cardinal Rai calls for swift formation of the new government

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rai called on Wednesday from Brazil to expedite the formation of the new government, stressing the need to agree on a new electoral law that will guarantee fair representation to all factions, with the consent of all the Lebanese people, adding that the parliamentary elections should be held on their due date.

Upon his arrival to Sao Paolo airport, Cardinal Rai hoped that peace will be wide-spread in Lebanon as well as in all countries in the region, and praised the Lebanese diaspora across the world.
