Caretaker Minister Charbel: To amend the 1960's electoral law

Caretaker Minister of Interior Marwan Charbel said on Wednesday that the 1960's electoral law will only be superseded with another electoral law.

Caretaker Minister Charbel urged during a phone call with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show the Lebanese leaders to amend the 1960 law in order to enhance the Christian representation.

As for the immigrants right to vote, he reveled that only 1800 voters are entitled to vote as per the current laws, noting that in case these amendments were made, the elections would be finalized by next September.
