Israeli army says east Beirut strike targeted 'terrorist' site, reviews civilian casualty reports

The Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee said a strike carried out east of Beirut targeted what he described as a "terrorist" site, adding that the Israeli army is reviewing reports of civilian casualties.

Adraee said the attack took place a day earlier in an area east of the Lebanese capital, noting that the army is examining reports indicating that non-combatants may have been wounded. He added that all details of the incident are under review.

He also accused Hezbollah of operating within civilian areas and using civilians as human shields, which he described as a violation of international law.
