Israeli army says it targeted Hezbollah sites in South Lebanon

The Israeli military spokesperson Colonel Ella Waweya claimed in a post on X that the army carried out airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, targeting what it described as ‘’militants and military buildings used by the group.’’

In a statement, the army said the Israeli Air Force, in coordination with the 91st Division, struck military structures from which Hezbollah operatives were allegedly operating.

It claimed that the targeted infrastructure had been used to carry out attacks against Israeli forces and the state of Israel.

The military added that it will continue operations against what it described as ''threats to Israeli civilians and its forces, in line with directives from the political leadership.''
