FM Araghchi congratulates Berri and Qassem on “Resistance and Liberation Day,” reaffirms Iran’s support for Lebanon

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi sent separate congratulatory messages to Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem on the occasion of “Resistance and Liberation Day.”

Araghchi said he extended congratulations to the Lebanese state, people, and “resistance” on the anniversary, praising what he described as the “historic victory” achieved by expelling Israel from southern Lebanon in 2000.

He also reaffirmed Iran’s “firm and decisive” support for Lebanon’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as for what he called the Lebanese people’s “legitimate resistance” against Israeli occupation and attacks.
