UNIFIL condemns airstrike in Nabatieh, calls it violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and UN Resolution 1701

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) expressed its condolences to the Lebanese Armed Forces and to the families of personnel reportedly killed in an airstrike in Nabatieh earlier on Friday.

UNIFIL said the attack constitutes a “gross violation” of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as U.N. Security Council Resolution 1701.
