Warning shots fired between Lebanese and Syrian armies on border

Warning shots were fired between the Lebanese and Syrian armies in Mount Akroum and no casualties were reported.

The National News Agency (NNA) said that Lebanese Army infantry troops headed to the northeastern side of Muwansa village on the Lebanese-Syrian border to patrol the area after a 15-member Syrian force was spotted there. The Syrian troops discharged their weapons to confirm the Lebanese patrol's identity.

According to NNA, the patrol’s identity was identified and calm was finally restored to the area.
