Maroni: Cabinet cannot evade international obligations
MP Elie Marouni said Tuesday that the events in Syria reflect a popular uprising against dictatorship, adding that “we cannot go back, the popular eruption has occurred and the people are demanding a regime change.”

On the electoral law, Marouni told Asharq station that Maronite meetings in Bkerke aim at avoiding the monopolization of the electoral law and reaching an agreement on the matter.

As for the STL funding, Marouni said “the issue is reality and Lebanon cannot tolerate international isolation,” adding that the government should provide the funding or else it will lose credibility.
