AFP reported that 3 people were shot dead by security forces in the central Syrian city of Homs, where they carried out a campaign of raids arresting around 115 people.     

The London-based Human Observatory for Human Rights said that a young man was shot dead by a security checkpoint in the town of al-Bayadeh, adding “one citizen was killed and another wounded when a security patrol opened fire on a car in the neighborhood of Deir Baalaba in Homs.   

The Observatory said that one young man from Deir Baalaba died of his wounds in Homs’ military hospital.   

The Observatory added that Homs’ neighborhood of al-Khalidiya is witnessing, since Monday, a wide security campaign. “Security forces cut off the electricity and communications in the neighborhood, arresting around 115 people", the Observatory said.
