REPORT: Operation in Syria kills person involved in Bourj al-Barajneh attacks
An operation in Syria launched by the Syrian army and Hezbollah killed a person involved in the logistics of a twin suicide bomb attack in southern Beirut earlier this month, the Hezbollah-run al-Manar television channel said on Thursday.

The operation killed the person "responsible for transporting the two Bourj al-Barajneh suicide bombers" who is identified as Abdel Salam Abdel Razzak al-Hindawi, also known as Abou Abdo, the channel said in a news flash. It gave no further details.

This as sources told LBCI that al-Hindawi was killed in an ambush in an area under the control of the Islamic State in Syria’s Homs.

The sources added that the man was one of the main coordinators entrusted to transfer suicide bombers from Syria’s Raqqa to Lebanon.

Islamic State claimed the Nov. 12 explosions which targeted a crowded residential district in Beirut's southern suburbs, which are dominated by Hezbollah. The Shi'ite movement has been supporting President Bashar al-Assad in the Syrian civil.
