US ambassador Shea talks to LBCI about her last interview, court ruling-[VIDEO]

US ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea talked on Sunday to LBCI about the reactions made after her interview on the al-Hadath TV channel.

Shea noted that reactions were surprising because there were nothing particularly new in what she said during the interview.

“The term that she would use is a tempest in a teapot,” she added.

“Maybe something that we said touched a nerve, but the important thing is that they created a distraction that is unhelpful and unnecessarily,” the ambassador went on saying.

Shea also stressed that she was given “assurances from the government of Lebanon that an appropriate action is being taken to reverse this inappropriate ruling.”

The US ambassador said that such ruling “may represent an escalation from Hezbollah’s side.”
