'They seek revenge through our children': Journalist Wael Dahdouh bids farewell to family members in Israeli attack

A number of family members of Wael Dahdouh, a correspondent for Al Jazeera in Gaza, including his wife, son, and daughter, were martyred in an Israeli airstrike targeting the house they had sought refuge in at the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, according to Al Jazeera.

"They seek revenge from us through our children," this is how the grief-stricken correspondent expressed his shock at the loss of his family.

Heartbreaking video clips circulated on social media, capturing the journalist's farewell to his family.

He said in one of them, "These are tears of humanity you have witnessed, not those of cowardice, fear, or collapse."

Al Jazeera revealed that "the occupation had requested Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to evacuate south to avoid the shelling, but the aggression reached them there, repeatedly confirming that there is no safe place in the Gaza Strip."
