Bahrain government says facility in oil infrastructure area attacked

Bahrain's interior ministry said one of its facilities in an industrial zone housing an oil refinery was attacked on Thursday, and one witness told AFP they saw smoke rising from the area.

"One facility in Maameer was targeted, and the relevant authorities are handling the incident," the statement said. Iran has pressed attacks across the Gulf in response to U.S. and Israeli strikes that killed its supreme leader.
