Save The Planet By Changing Your Soap!
One of the major problems facing  our oceans and lakes is plastic pollution and one way you can actually help minimize that danger comes in line with changing one essential product we use daily, and that is our body wash. Yes, body wash.

According to the Scientific American, too many small plastic particles known as beads, used in our daily soaps, end up in our lakes and oceans. These beads are mistaken for food by many fish, turtles and seagulls. When swallowed these plastic particles then sit undigested in the stomachs of these precious marine animals depriving them of real nutrients and blocking their systems.

So what can you do to help? Simply switch to more organic soaps that are better for you and the environment. Locally made Lebanese soap, also known as Saboun Baladi (Olive Soap) is one alternative one can use to reduce environmental impact. And if that’s too much for you, just make sure you choose products that do not include small, plastic beads as exfoliants.
