REPORT: 70 year old Lebanese mother; the victim of domestic and parental abuse

For over a year, 70-year-old Hoda Hadla from Zahle lived in sub-standard conditions. Held captive by her own son who also beat her and limited her food intake, Hoda suffered the consequences of her son's cruelty in silence.

Her story reached the ministry of social affairs which took immediate action and transferred Hoda to an elderly care facility in al-Mansourah.

This report will shed light on the plight and life of Hoda, a victim of domestic violence, ill treatment and parental abuse.
