REPORT: Unemployment leads Akkar residents to seek better life overseas

Unemployment and difficult living conditions are the main reasons leading citizens from Akkar to attempt to leave Lebanon and head for Australia, where a number of them died in the Indonesian boat incident.

While the government is deploying efforts in order to return the corpses of the victims and find those missing, the families are calling on the concerned authorities to improve the situation of the citizens and offer them better life opportunities.
