REPORT: Al-Qaeda-linked militants control parts of Iraq's Falluja
 
A well-informed source close to the Iraqi Interior Ministry told Agence France Presse on Thursday that the al-Qaeda-linked militant group the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, known as 'Daesh', has taken control of half of the Iraqi city of Falluja.

"Half of the Falluja city has fallen to 'Daesh' while the other half was captured by armed tribesmen fighting the Iraqi army since a protest camp in Anbar province was dismantled on Monday," the source added.

This as, Al-Qaeda-linked militants are roaming the streets of the Iraqi city of Ramadi in Anbar province with the security forces reported absent, according to Agence France Presse.
