REPORT: Geagea says his past is a part of Lebanon’s history
The head of the Lebanese Forces Samir Geagea stressed Monday that he is not ashamed of his past; saying that he admits committing mistakes like everyone, and has already apologized for them publicly. He also noted that his past is a part of Lebanon’s history, calling on others to take lessons from him instead of attacking their rivals.

On the 20th anniversary of his arrest, Geagea said that he committed his mistakes during the war, stating that “the greatest sinner is the one who keeps on committing mistakes after the war and after the establishment of the state.”

In this regard, Geagea’s media bureau said that, on this occasion, the LF leader inaugurated in Maarab “a cell similar to the one in which he spent 11 years of detention.”

During the inauguration, Geagea recalled some of the moments he lived in jail, adding that he had several methods to resist the suffering in prison, like praying, singing and reading.
