REPORT: Free Sunnis of Baalbek Brigade vows “to clear the Bekaa region from Crusaders”
The Free Sunnis of Baalbek Brigade called on the “Crusaders of Lebanon's Bekaa to leave the region,” adding that the "hour is approaching to clear the Bekaa Emirate of Crusaders," they said in reference to Christians via twitter.

Last month, the group vowed to attack churches in Lebanon, mainly in the eastern Bekaa valley.

“We will target crusaders in Lebanon to silence the ringing of the bells,” the group said.

The Brigade recently pledged adherence to the Islamic State, previously known as the Islamic State of the Iraq and the Levant.

The Islamic State declared last month the establishment of the “Islamic caliphate” led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, ordering Muslims around the world to pledge adherence to their chief.

The Brigade has also claimed responsibility for several rocket and bomb attacks inside Lebanon, the last of which were the suicide attacks in Dahr al-Baydar and Raouche's Duroy Hotel.
