In this regard, the town of Al-Kharayeb in the Zahrani region bid farewell to citizen Bilal Dhayni along with his wife and 3 children.
The funeral of citizen Mohammad Faysal Akhadr was also held in the town of Al-Zrariyeh.
The plane carrying the bodies of the 19 Lebanese nationals arrived on Sunday (December 21) to Beirut International Airport.
Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil who accompanied the bodies of the victims noted that it is the state’s duty to end the killing of Lebanese expatriates in plane crashes.
“We stand before a national tragedy that keeps on repeating itself,” he stated, pointing out that millions of the Lebanese nationals live in Africa, and there are no Lebanese planes to transport them to Beirut.
Last July, Air Algerie Flight 5017 crashed in Mali after taking off from Burkina Faso. All 116 people on board the aircraft were killed in the ordeal. For more details, watch Maytham Kassir's report in the video above
