REPORT: Syria’s Assad seeks to build nuclear plant near Lebanon border

Syria's President Bashar Assad wants to acquire a nuclear bomb and has started work on an underground plant, German news magazine Der Spiegel Online reported on Friday.

Intelligence sources provided exclusive reports and information to the German news magazine, indicating that the plant is located near the city of Homs and is built underground in a mountain region only two kilometers away from the Lebanese border.
