Fayyad meets with Egyptian Prime Minister in Cairo-[REPORT]
The Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mostafa Madbouly met on Tuesday morning with Minister of Energy Walid Fayyad, in the presence of Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Tarek el-Molla, and Ambassador of Lebanon in Cairo Ali al-Halabi.

Madbouly began the meeting by "expressing Egypt's wishes of success for the new Lebanese government headed by Prime Minister Najib Mikati," stressing that the instructions of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi always emphasize providing all possible support to brotherly Lebanon, especially at this delicate stage that it is going through.

For his part, Minister Fayyad confirmed that he was keen on making Egypt the first country to visit after assuming his duties, in appreciation of Egypt's pivotal role in the Middle East and its efforts to support Lebanon.

Minister Fayyad reviewed the results of the talks he held with his Egyptian counterpart to deliver Egyptian gas to Lebanon in order to contribute to solving the electricity crisis.

Fayyad expressed "Lebanon's appreciation to Egypt and its leadership for the constant support and assistance to Lebanon and its people," stressing the Lebanese government's aspiration to strengthen and revitalize aspects of cooperation with Egypt during the coming period.
